On Wednesday 12^th March 2008, an International Dance Champion called Andrzej Mialkowski came to Queensway School to teach a dance class whilst our dance teacher, Mrs Rhymes was on residential. We spoke to one of the pupils who was there with us, Sophie Fitton, “Andrzej Mialkowski was very good and he never gave up teaching us.”

He taught us more of the Samba. We showed him what we knew of the Waltz, Jive and the Cha Cha.

As well as a dance class for children at school, there is a dance class for the TA’s, teachers and school staff. We have a quote from dance partners, Mrs Gregg and Mrs O’Brien, “We enjoyed this session. It was nice to be taught by a male and to see a pro at work. We hope to have another session soon!”

We felt really excited at first and when we were at the end we were really tired and we had learnt a lot, including part of the Cha Cha  and some more of the Jive.
