" Dancing cheek to cheek "

THE ballroom dancing craze is sweeping Banburyshire big time with scores of eager Strictly Come Dancing fans taking up this creative, healthy hobby. Polish ballroom teacher Andrzej Mialkowski is showing pupils all over north Oxfrodshire, south Northamptonshire and eeven Buckinghamshire the secrets of dancing cheek to cheek and getting the footstepsjust right. Holding lessons across the region from Banbury`s sports centre to village and town halls in Ardley, Brackley, Buckingham and Kidlington, Andrzej is making a name for himself as the heart of England`s answer to Anton du Bake! On Saturday his new recruits were participants in the first of three monthly, two-hour workshops at The Mill Arts Centre, Banbury. Organiser, Mill dance tutor Suzette Watson said: "They really enjoyed getting to know all those dances we hear about so much on the popular ballroom TV programmes. "Andrzej is a great tutor and teaches all dances in Latin - includin cha cha, samba, rumba, jive, paso doble, polka and salsa - and ballroom with the waltz, foxtrot, tango, Viennese waltz and quickstep. ...
